Game Designer, Researcher, & Lead Programmer
Mission: Go Zero
Working with Sheridan College’s Department of Sustainability, Mission: Go Zero! is a proof-of-concept game designed to encourage proper sorting of wastes. Players take care of Zero the Bruin by correctly disposing their wastes into the organic, recycling, and landfill bins.
As Game Designer, I designed game mechanics for the game (such as a combo mechanic if someone disposes a coffee cup correctly), balanced the in-game timers, and contributed to a Game Design Document. As Researcher, I conducted focused research based on the behaviours of students around the bins in order to determine what would benefit the game.
